Sturgeon fishing above Bonneville Dam will open January 1, 2024. Sturgeon retention is allowed 3 days a week until the quota of Sturgeon is met. fishing for Sturgeon is allowed on Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays for retention.
If you are looking to put some fresh Sturgeon in your freezer you want to go in January. I don’t expect Sturgeon fishing above Bonneville Dam to stay open very long.
Sturgeon must be between 38 and 54 inches to be able to harvest them. You are allowed to keep one Sturgeon a day, but you may continue to catch and release after you have tagged your Sturgeon.
Marvin’s Guide service will be fishing from the Cascade Locks, Oregon area. Cascade Locks is about 7 miles east of the Bonneville Dam.
I know you’re thinking this is too cold to go fishing, but don’t worry, we have a covered and heated boat so you will be fishing in comfort.
Call Marvin’s Guide Service today and let’s get you hooked up on some great winter Sturgeon fishing in the Columbia River Gorge.
We also use the marinas in Hood River in Rufus OR depending on current weather like wind and snow.
Sturgeon fishing for catch and release sturgeon is open year-round and seven days a week.
If you’re looking for a thrill of a lifetime, talk to me about Monster Sturgeon fishing in the Columbia River Gorge in June and July.
Sturgeon fishing for monsters is a catch and release fishery with the average sturgeon being between seven and 10 feet long.
I do most of my monster Sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River, just below the Dalles Dam.
