May 15/2009 Portland Oregon,Columbia river has some great Sturgeon fishing in it. Now is the time to come to portland Oregon and fish.
We catch sturgeon up to 12 feet long. also in may and june we have the shad with are a’lot of fun to catch, Shad can get up to 5 or 6 pounds.
and great for sturgeon bate.

The water is warming up. There are even a few over size sturgeon being caught!
beware the Columbia river is fast.
start watching for shad. fresh shad should be a sure catch.
If you don’t have any shad then use smelt and sand shrimp.
