Summer salmon on the Columbia River is now open. This just might be one of my favorite times of the year to fish. You can go out and do a half day of Salmon fishing and a half day of Sturgeon fishing.
I will be fishing the Columbia River Gorge for summer salmon. One place to fish for Summer Salmon is at the shad rack just up river from the fishery, I will anchor up there in about 15 feet of water, and put out spinners, I like to use a # 5 blade this time of year.
Columbia River is running fast right now, so be exta carefull when you anchor your boat, watch out for debris in the water that might hit your boat or get caught on your fishing lines.
You may keep 2 fin cliped salmon. I look forward to a great summer salmon season on the Columbia River.
See you all out there.
