Wow, it’s hard to believe that 2024 fishing season is over. We had a great year of Salmon on the Columbia River in 2024
Now it’s time to book your next salmon fishing trip on the Columbia River for 2025.

Salmon fishing on the Columbia River in the spring kicks off in March. We’ll begin our adventure in the Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington area, focusing on the stretch of the Columbia River near the Portland Airport.

What is the limit for salmon on The Columbia River?

The limit for spring salmon on the Columbia River is one fin-clipped salmon per person. The salmon season on the Columbia River usually closes early, so sure plan your trip accordingly and enjoy the thrill of catching this prized fish while you can! You always want to check with Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife or Washington Fish and Game to see if the season will remain open.

Can you fish Salmon in April and May?

I fish for Spring Salmon on the lower Willamette River will continue to do so through June. The Columbia River is typically closed for salmon fishing this time of year, but Willamette River offers excellent opportunities in the heart of Portland.

In April and May, we offer exciting combo fishing trips: half a day for salmon and a day for sturgeon. Fishing for sturgeon is a catch-and-release experience, but it’s action-packed and fun for everyone on board.

I also offer Walley fishing on the Columbia River in the Spring. I do most of my Walley fishing east of Portland around The Dallas Oregon area.

In my opinion Walleye make some of the best fish tacos, of course there is no wrong way to eat fresh walleye. Fishing for a walleye is fun for all ages. Could generally the Columbia River offers plenty of action.

There will be a few days where we can do combo trips half walleye and half sturgeon.

Just a reminder Sturgeon is catch and release.

Whether you’re interested in Salmon fishing, Sturgeon fishing, or Walleye fishing, I can arrange an unforgettable fishing experience for on the Columbia River in the spring of 2025.

You will be fishing in the comfort of my 27-foot boat. If the weather is bad, I have you covered with a covered and heated boat,

Please feel free to leave in the comments how you like to prepare Walleye or Salmon.
